MacBook Pro 13″ Core i5 Mid 2012 comes with an 2.5 SATA hard drive which is attached to the logic board/Motherboard through a SATA connector and is visible after removing the back cover of the laptop. The Hard Drive Speed comes with 5400 or 7200 rpm and 7200 rpm hard drives will give you better performance as compared to your 5400 rpm hard drive that your MacBook came with.

The Starting base model of this MacBook Pro comes with 250GB to 500 GB Hard drive ,but can be upgradable to higher capacities as per the requirement.

Additional notes: Always remember to shut down your computer ,unplug the power cable and press the power button for 5 seconds before attempting to upgrade the RAM or any other repairs.

Anti-static precautions:  Precautions  guidelines should be taken to prevent damage to sensitive components by the discharge of electrical energy. It is common to provide a static-free working area in which floor and work surfaces are covered by electrically conducting mats and the operator uses a conducting wrist strap.Touch a metal surface inside the computer to discharge any static electricity from your body.
